Cette installation sonore et olfactive évoque une offrande faite aux esprits des montagnes Les Achachilas* pour demander leur protection et guide.
À travers une cérémonie où différentes plantes et objets sont brûlés, les animaux, les végétaux et les esprits sont représentés pour nous relier à la vie, chacun avec une symbolisme personnelle. L’odeur qui émane de la Q’oa (Clinopodium bolivianum), du Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens), de la feuille de Coca (Erythroxylum coca) et la laine d’alpaga me relient a mes racines boliviennes.
This sound and olfactory installation evokes an offering made to the spirits of the mountains, the Achachilas*, to seek their protection and guidance. Through a ceremony in which various plants and objects are burned, animals, vegetation, and spirits are represented, connecting us to life, each bearing personal symbolism. The fragrance that emanates from the Q’oa (Clinopodium bolivianum), Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens), coca leaves (Erythroxylum coca), and alpaca wool ties me to my Bolivian roots.

* L'Achachila est une divinité tutélaire de la cosmogonie Aymara représentée par les montagnes. lls représentent les ancêtres de chaque peuple, qui lorsqu'ils meurent montent sur les plus hauts sommets existant autour d'elle, remplissant ainsi une fonction de protection et de surveillance.
* The Achachila is a tutelary deity of the Aymara cosmogony, represented by the mountains. They symbolize the ancestors of each people, who, upon their death, ascend to the highest peaks surrounding them, thus fulfilling a role of protection and vigilance.
